Some Wonderful Blondie Recipes that Everyone Loves

You should try out these wonderful blondie recipes if you love desserts.

A delicious blondie (which is also called a blonde brownie) is a wonderful, tasty dessert bar. It greatly resembles the classic chocolate brownie, but instead of using cocoa, it uses vanilla instead and also uses brown sugar. Blondies are generally made from butter, brown sugar, flour, eggs, baking powder, and vanilla – and many people enjoy putting pecans or walnuts into their blondes as well. It is also pretty common to see a batch of blondies that have dark or white chocolate chips, some butterscotch chips, or some other flavored chips.

Blondies differ in many ways from normal white chocolate brownies. Unlike those white chocolate brownies or even normal brownies, the base recipes has no chocolate at all or even any chocolate flavoring, aside from when chocolate chips are thrown into the batter at the last minute. You will also see them with nuts, coconut, toffee, or any other type of chunky candy for additional texture. Blondies are not generally frosted because the brown sugar is usually sweet enough for most tastes. But there are some recipes that call for frosting. One variation is the popular Congo bar, which has chocolate chips with either coconuts or walnuts.

In the end, blondies are oven baked in a pan just like you would do in the baking of normal brownies, after that they are cut into rectangles and served on napkins or small saucers. Another place where blondies are used is with ice cream. They are often featured sundaes and topped with either caramel or butterscotch sauce.

3 Amazing Shrimp Scampi Recipes that Blow Your Friends Away

When you start using these amazing shrimp scampi recipes, you will understand why people absolutely love this basic dish.

In general, shrimp scampi is typically a pasta dish where several different types of pasta are used as well as different kinds of shrimp. It is more likely that larger shrimp are selected for this dish although it is really a matter of preference as some actually like using popcorn shrimp in these recipes. In addition to the shrimp and pasta, the cooking in these shrimp scampi recipes will usually include ingredients like garlic, butter, and even a quality white wine.

Many people consider shrimp scampi to be somewhat of an elegant dish, but the actual fact is that the recipes are very basic requiring only a skillet for shrimp and a pot for your pasta. Then the butter is melted in the skillet, and then the peeled shrimp is sautéed in that skillet. When the shrimp start taking on that pinkish color and they cook, additional ingredients are also added to create a sauce. One popular recipe for a sauce calls for using lemon juice, some white wine, and then adding some green onions along with some finely chopped parsley. Since shrimp cooks fairly quickly, the sauce is also cooked quickly.

Obviously, the shrimp is the main ingredient of shrimp scampi; the pasta that is used will provide lots of texture and greatly adds to the dish’s visual appeal. Angel hair pasta and linguini tend to be the preferred pasta options, even though spaghetti and egg noodles can also be used as a nice bed for the shrimp scampi and sauce.

3 Great Casserole Recipes that will Change you Life

Everybody loves great casserole recipes. And for good reason too.

All we have to do is look at the reasons why casseroles have become so popular in our kitchens and among home cooks. When you understand the allure and cooking and eating them, then it is easy to realize the advantages they provide.

Probably the biggest reason for cooking casseroles is the convenience and flexibility they provide to hectic lifestyles and busy families. They are kind of like having the perks of a slow cooker, but without using a slow cooker. This is because you can cut up and prepare all the ingredients ahead of time and then mix them up and pour them in a casserole dish. They usually cook in around 40 minutes or more – which gives the family time to settle in from their busy days before sitting down for dinner.

The next benefit they provide is also similar to that of a Crock Pot. And that is the long steeping of flavors from the various ingredients. This is what great casserole recipes do for us.

Most of us love making casseroles, and they provide a great way to experiment a little with different flavor profiles using various meats and veggies. And the fun part is trying out different spices and cheeses. Let’s face it, one of the best things about casseroles is the gooey cheese on top.

Great Sandwich Recipes that your Family will Love

Is there anything any better than great sandwich recipes?

When we go out and seek knowledge about food history in order to impress our foodie friends, we must first acknowledge one fact. And that is the fact that countless combinations of bread and pastry which were filled with delicious meats and cheeses and were further dressed with the favored condiments of the day have been eaten and enjoyed since ancient times. Most Food historians will usually attribute the invention of the first sandwich to a dude named John Montagu, who was 4th Earl of Sandwich. It is believed that this Englishman was very fond of gambling and other games of chance. As the legend goes, in the year 1762, and in the middle of a 24 hour gambling streak he asked a cook to prepare his meal in a way that so that it wouldn’t interfere with the game he was playing. The cook then fixed for him a piece of sliced meat that was wedged in between two slices of toast. This was absolutely perfect as the meal required no utensils at all and was able to be eaten with only one hand, while leaving the other hand free to keep playing the game. The sad part about the story is that the name of actual inventor of the first sandwich (who was obviously that cook who created it in the first place) was never known or remembered for posterity.

And to make matters worse sometimes, sandwiches recipes were hardly ever recorded in cookbooks because so many of them were thrown together. And in England they were only seen to be restaurant food and not useful in homes. And in America, colonial cooks did not like to imitate British culinary trends. It wasn’t until long after the War of 1812 that Americans began using the term “sandwich”.

The big difference between early English and American sandwiches was that England preferred using beef in their sandwiches, while Americans preferred using ham. It really came down to which meat was more available.

Meat Stuffed Garlic Bread Recipes That will Change your World

Would you love having some awesome meat stuffed garlic bread recipes?

There is no doubt that garlic bread has been around for centuries. And during that time, it has always been implied either directly or indirectly that garlic bread must accompany spaghetti dishes during meals. To do otherwise with it was uncivilized and almost blasphemous among many pasta chefs throughout history. One of the wonderful aspects of great garlic bread was the nice crispy textures it provided. You see, not only do flavors need to be balanced during a meal, the sophisticate chef understands that textures should also be balanced. Thus, the crispy texture is just as important as the flavor.

Over time, the reigns were lightened up on the uses of garlic bread as it was agreed upon that it also went very well with soups and stews too. Especially if those soups and stews were tomato based and also if they contained pasta (do you see where we are going here?). And of course, when eating the bread with soups and stews, the crispy texture becomes even more critical.

So now we are at the point where we are stuffing delicious meats and cheeses inside of our garlic bread. This is a game changer don’t you think? Where does a meat stuffed piece of garlic bread fit into the scheme of a meal? Would you consider it to now be a main course? If not, what kind of main course would you serve with it? Trust me, I am not complaining at all because I love me some meat stuffed garlic bread recipes. I find that most any kind of meat works very well as a stuffing. Given the choice, I would choose pork sausage every time though. Especially the spicy sausage!

Finding the Best Apple Fritter Recipes

Apple fritters happen to be one of those incredible desserts that have been around for centuries. Fritter-type dishes can be traced back to Ancient Rome, where the Romans introduced fritters to the rest of Europe through their massive influence and power as their empire spread onward. This history of fritters and also doughnuts, was actually called scriblita and was made by simply frying dough in hot fat. Cryspeys, which was a medieval dessert, were enjoyed with sugar sprinkled on them. A fritter actually refers to anything that is covered with dough and then fried, but apple fritters have been a favorite for many generations. During medieval times, fritters were thought to be dangerous to eat and quite indigestible, but they stayed on the menu nonetheless, usually as the last course of a meal. However, due to their supposedly dangerous nature, it was strongly urged that they be eaten only while hot.

Early versions of apples in the U.K. were first cultivated sometime after the late 1700s and before the early 1800s. With these apples, there were basically two apple fritter recipes. The first one uses clove, nutmeg, mace, ginger, cinnamon, rosewater and saffron – which is actually a startling number of spices which was typical for the older days.  And the second recipe for apple fritters only requires cloves, nutmeg, and mace, with a little cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top. This recipe is much simpler and is more likely to become an addition to recipe collections of pastry chefs.

Modern apple fritter recipes usually contain ale, which is generally added to lighten up the batter with carbonation and yeast. A beer-battered, fried apple fritter is enjoyed by most people today, so this is often used in the fritter recipes of today. Most people enjoy them very much – to say the least.

Simple Apple Fritters Recipe – Genius Kitchen made apple fritters every fall for many years when our kids were young. This is close to the fritter recipe we remember. We doubled the amount of milk that the recipe called for to 2/3rd cup to make a batter that is like a thick pancake batter. After the first batch we increased the apples to a cup and a half instead of the one cup. Rather than adding teaspoon of batter for each fritter we use a tablespoon. With a couple tweaks of the recipe, the result is a perfect fritter. Friends and family raved about them. I do not believe adding more spices can make them tastier than they are. Some Awesome Beignet Recipes

Would you love getting some awesome beignet recipes?

The long tradition of enjoying beignets goes all the way back to Ancient Roman times, even though the method of frying foods goes even further back in history. There is written history that refers to the ancient Greeks who fried many of their foods in olive oil throughout the 5th century BC, and several other cultures formulated their own frying techniques as well. The very term beignet can actually refer to two varieties which depend on the kind of pastry. The French-style beignet is found in the United States, and refers specifically to deep-fried choux pastry. Beignets are also made from yeast pastry, which are called boules de Berlin in French, and this refers to Berliner doughnuts that are shaped like a ball (so they don’t have the usual doughnut hole) and are filled with jam or fruit.

In country of Corsica, their beignets are made using chestnut flour are called fritelli. Donuts (doughnuts) in Quebec and throughout Canada are called either Beigne or Beignet in French.

Beignets are generally seen in New Orleans as a breakfast product that is comes with powdered sugar on top. They are generally made right before they are eaten so that they are hot and fresh. Different versions of this fried dough are found in different cuisines internationally. However, the term beignet comes from the French. In the United States, the beignet has become especially popular in the New Orleans Creole cuisine and is served as desserts or some other sweet variation. They were introduced to city of New Orleans during the 1700’s by French colonists, who came from “the old mother country”, who also ushered in much of the Creole cooking style. Interestingly, beignets were officially declared the  state doughnut for Louisiana in 1986.
